  • How do I know which gear to bring? Can I rent?
Throughout the year it is always necessary to bring all-terrain shoes. In summer we recommend a rain coat, a wind breaker and a few long-sleeve options and long pants. Remember that in the mountains the weather can be much colder than in cities. In winter please bring appropriate clothing and shoes depending on your mountain activities. Both in summer and in winter you can rent gear like hiking poles, climbing equipment, skis/snowboards and sledges etc. in every mountain area. We highly recommend to bring UV sunglasses, sun cream/skin protection with a high UV year-round and a refillable water bottle to always stay hydrated and to enjoy the drinkable tap water.

  • What happens if the weather or another issue is not allowing us to follow the original itinerary?
We reserve the right to change travel and itinerary arrangements. This is necessary because many of our Itineraries involve variables which are outside our control. These include, weather, political issues, currency problems, flights and accommodation issues. If, once the activity has begun, Black Yeti Switzerland finds that it is unable to provide a significant part of the services foreseen in the contract, we will adopt other suitable solutions for the continuation of the activity, without any supplement to the price and, where appropriate, we will pay you the amount of the difference between the services foreseen and those provided. Please note that much of the trip will be in the Swiss Alps, where the weather is very unpredictable and unstable. Many of the sites you will visit are at high altitude, so the weather can change drastically in a short period of time. We will provide you some recommendations and modifications of the itinerary to ensure your safety and enjoyment of the holidays. In itineraries that run in areas that are difficult to access, especially those in high mountains, it will not be considered an alteration in the services if the highest or furthest point planned is not reached, either due to adverse weather conditions, due to the deterioration of communication routes, mechanical breakdown or for any reason that we think may be detrimental to your own safety.
